One of the unique services I offer is a “glamover” — a stunning makeover from head to toe. I recently worked with a lovely client, Susan, to do a glamover session at my studio and at Scarborough Beach in Narragansett, RI. Susan and I initially met at a photography workshop, and when she decided she wanted to get in front of the camera, we began talking about the kind of shoot she was looking for. Susan and I had a great session together and everything for her glamover came right from our closets. Glamovers are all about showing off you and your beauty and I am always ready to help style clients in a way that accentuates their best features.
One-on-one sessions are some of my favorites because they’re so personal. Solo photoshoots may initially seem intimidating, but it is my goal to do what I can to help people feel comfortable in front of the camera. One of the benefits of one-on-one shoots is that I have the time to really connect with my client and get to know them so I can ease their fears and help them feel relaxed. I always do my best to really listen to them and make them feel heard by asking questions and sharing things about myself as well.
If you’re interested in booking a session, here’s Susan’s advice: “My advice to someone interested in setting up a session is to talk with your photographer about what you are looking for and your expectations. Ask your photographer for their advice on locations, outfits, makeup, and hair since they have experience in what works and makes a great photo.”
